Hell I played that Fairy Tail hunting game on the PSP without knowing Japanese. I managed to learn which to chose for battle, items etc. and I didnt have to know about what the frapers was going on. Gameplay is all that maters for such games. Like muso games, hunting games, fighting games and probably racing games. But when it comes to text heavy or story driven games such as RPGs, then it is better to get those games translated or localized to wherever that game is releasing, ie. if its beeing released in Italy, it should be in Italian and so on and so forth. |
Gladlly I don't have problem with english translated games nor RPG nor other text heavy games (catherine)... but I can't lie... Most people prefer their mother language... I even prefer it... but most of RPG come in english so I had to learn.. and next I'm learn to read japanese.. that's it...
The low sells of games like Persona 4 on Europe are due not only to the translation issue.. the low marketing for the game and the Vita in general... SCEE have been forgotting the Vita recentle... :/ but clearly the translation is a reason...
