SnakeDrake said: Well at least SS double the vita sales in NA by 99% lol and europe i dont know what to say you didn't even give persona 4 any love. Anyways even though the GB on this site hasn't up dated yet, but still SS already surpassed RO in WW sales(although it only had a digital release in EU). |
Most people that wanted to play Persona, probably imported it from States/Canada/HK... I think that SS will outsell Gravity Rush. I hope that it will have good legs and evetually reach at least a 0,5 mil mark.
Well it wont help those poor people at eu locaization team, but hey at least getting the game is what matters. Im sure it will out sell Gravity Rush and only 3 game right now are above the 0.5 mark . I would argue that LBP vita reached or is close to reaching that mark, but VG has a history of tracking the series weridly.
If there was one.... I highly doubt there was more then one or so person involved in the eu localisation. They pretty much gave us the us version 1:1, no translation nothing. Don't ecpect people to buy a game they won't understand.
That guy must be very big on muilty national to understand every language in the eu.
Yes he is...
i know i know i was exagerating but since they didn't tranlate the game i doubt they had all that much work to do.
I mean i understand why it didn't get translated, it's a f***ing huge game with an enormous amount of text and translating that into every eu language would probably not have been profitable... but you can't blame the EU people for it's "bad" numbers either for exactly the same reaseon. A textheavy game that is not in your mothertongue is a hard sell.
Why is it "hard sell"? I never played a game that was translated into my mother tongue. Not even the ones that were made here...
Case in point, Senran Kagura Shinovi VS got imported by a lot of people around the world and I'm sure that there are a bunch who don't even understand Japanese (myself included) and still jumped in and enjoyed the game.
There are even people who imported the Japanese version of SS coz they couldn't wait and then re-bought it when the english version came out.
This doesn't work with every game and especially not persona. That game is what 70 or 80% text? good luck trying to play that without understanding it.
But by any means let's stop translating games into english (or any other language) since it's obviously not nessecary.
