What on earth happened in 2011 that caused NPS to lose nearly $3 billion?

This honestly isn't looking very good for Sony. They've managed to make a tidy profit this year by selling off a bunch of property, so hopefully they have some kind of strategy to stay profitable long-term.

They're predicting a fall in pretty much all sales except smartphones. Hopefully the PS4 can help to carry them through.

That is a good question... and I have finally a answer.

First you have to know in FY2011 de Division was merged Games with a lot of stuffs called CPS... so the final result was 229.8 billion yens loss:

But now Sony finally released what happenec only with the game division:

You see the 29.3 billion yean profit for Game Division in FY2011...

So Sony never had loss in Game Division last year but the CPS division had because all the others stuffs like TVs, Vaio, etc merged together...

This is good news for all... in FY2011 the Game Division had profit and not losso like I always suspected but the weird CPS Division had loss.

I will update my Game Division table to shows the latest numbers.
