They are probably looking at the kickstarter and thinking "OmG lOoK at TeH miLLionz of MonAY ther'RE makinG!" There must be a lot of demand for the product for it to raise millions of dollars and now everyone wants to put their hand in the cookie jar.
But you can only really guage success after the console has launched and there's only so much room for a consoles that do the same thing.
