That would be one thing, but if you have not noticed that will not work anymore to just concentrate on one thing like just "living room" console's anymore

The reason being is content on the go has changed the Dynamic, App stores is pretty much the key flexing point that has disrupted this area of the Market all three know this. the fact of the Matter is if sony does not keep the PSVita in the market they loose out to companies that will. its no coincidence that Sony talked about the Playstation Suite the day and Date with the PSVita on stage the same release event. its pretty easy to see why.

Nintendo is not developed the WiiU to have as a platform Mobile software can be ported and play in your house anywhere, but not just Mobile full living room games.

Asking for Sony to just up and Quit that market trend is not a viable option, look at it this way.

You have smart TV's , Tablet's, smartphone's and Topset box'es like Apple TV, and Google TV. all those devices has some mobile device that direct connect's or allows you to take content on the Go. Again Asking Sony to pull out of that market trend when everyone else is doing just that is like asking Sony to ignore an area of the Market that they really as a company need to be in , grow and  develop market product's into that area of they will fall behind.

Sony cannot and i doubt very much will not just allow that to happen without trying all options on the table if they can, and the options are still on the table, further iP creation, further price cut later, lower entry point for Software and more benefits for cross buy and cross purchase incentives . Sony is looking at the PSVita as "part" of an Eco system they are building not the center.
