"So quick"? The device was in the planning stages for at least a few years before it was launched, and it has been on the market worldwide for over a year now. Games should have been the very first thing they started to line up for a gaming device.

So I guess I would expect... I don't know. Something, and not the veritable nothing we're getting. I just don't think we should be looking at a grand total of TWO first party games for later this year. That is insane.

And not every game has to be the next Uncharted or Killzone and take a bazillion manhours to develop. It could be the next Tokyo Jungle or LocoRoco, games which are much more suitable for handhelds, anyway.

you don't think games are a first priority for the PSVita?

just because its been in development that long does not mean your project is going to finish when the system releases!

" I just don't think we should be looking at a grand total of TWO first party games for later this year. That is insane."

See there is the problem, do you only think those are the two games in the works by 1st party? How do you know otherwise?

because they set sales Projections small?

Look i under stand where you are coming from with your take on this, but im looking at this from the perspective of the fact that just like the PS3 had a slow start than picked up in sales. what was the main driver of that uptake? lower price and more content. you can only have content ready to go when its ready, what size team do you think Sony has for project's for the PSVita? remember this Handheld can handle resources that a living room console uses' IE: the PSVita is able to handle thing's such as  advanced shader models those that the living room console runs.

You don't think that with the PS3 and Now the PS4 that its going to take more time to make PSVita 1st party games? when resources are going to be spread among 3 platforms?

why do you think Sony is getting Unity 3D's Game Engine on board for all three Platforms?

there is the PS3, and Now the PS4. to make content for now you have PSN and Playstation Mobile and than you now have the PSVita to develop for. the Playstation 1st party studio's only have so many body's and so much time is not going to be able to be used for all of this at one time!

you are right not every game has to be long development time's but is that one of the reason's people bought the PSVita to see games that really push that platform for game experiences? yes it could bee argued that you do not have to do that to make compelling games like that, and why do you think Sony is courting many 3rd party indie games for the PSVita? having a Unity 3D game engine run for cross development across the PS3+PS4+PSVITA.
