It obviously goes both ways: People sometimes change their views so that they won't contradict their religion, and they sometimes interpret their religion in a way that won't go against their views. This is why we have no Christians (as far as I know) not believing that Jesus is God/God's son while we also have priests that are pro and anti gay marriage, for example.

I have many times changed my view on my religion due to outside influence (even forums yes, actually you even haha!). But ultimately people who are level-headed will make their decision to believe what is true no matter what, no matter where it stands (in religion, or in secularism).

You can say what you said about weak-minded people, sure, but you can't generalize on all religious people I think that's horribly unfair, and there are weakminded people in secularist circles because Religion doesn't make you weakminded, weakmindedness makes you weakminded, so you'll find that everywhere.

And by that you mean that the level-headed people will believe what they find most likely rather than live in denial?

Can't say I disagree. But this does make it seem like God doesn't like the level-headed people who don't find the Bible's content believeable and who don't want to deny those feelings. Something that makes God seem ignorant, in my opinion.

And yeah, what I said can certainly be applied to non-religious people as well (just replace "religion" with "political stance"). I just wanted to focus on the topic.
