If true, Brazil really is becoming a beast. Do you have some link to official data and whether the figure is gross or net?

Maybe I've been swayed, if a movie is filmed in Brazil you'll see things like the favelas in Fast Five. If it's filmed in Croatia you'll see things like Game of Throne's King's Landing (filmed in Dubrovnik). There aren't things like favelas in Croatia. There are some shanty towns occupied by gypsies but on a much smaller scale, and the situation is no where near as bad as in Serbia.

It's funny how some of the things most iconic to Brazil are poor people.

That a half wrong vision about Brazil...

There are poor and rich in favelas... at Rio the most expensive and rich party (disco party I guess) are in favelas... the rich attend the favelas... there are big house (masions) in favela.

Of course... there are a lot of poor people in favelas but there are the rich that dominates the favelas too.

In resume I can't really call the people in Brasil that poor... most guys have a nice live with TVs, Sound System, cars, etc at home... if you have a good work you can buy everything and live a good life.

There are a lot of poor guys but the poor that didn't have even food to eat is low.

It is a nice place to live... I think the small violence here is bigger than outside but the big violence is small.... I don't know if you understand... I mean in quantity... we have a lot more cases of small violence but a lot less of big violence... I don't know how to explain.

In any case I guess that more than 60% of population have condition to buy a videogame console.
