Never bought a console for myself, and there's never been a game that I was so desperate to play I'd shell out hundreds of dollars for a console to play it. So really it'd have to be a excellent catalogue of games before I'd purchase one.
As for PC - never again. Even the cheapest laptop on the market has more than enough power to run any utility, and it's impossible to justify spending $1000-2000 more just to play games. I'd sooner buy a 360.
