Well, compared to a few years ago, I play far fewer games nowadays due to how burnt out I am on several genres (sports, racing, FPS, JRPGs, fighting games), and it´s not easy for the genres I still enjoy to amaze me..so, in my case, having played for so many years, it does get harder and harder for a game to grab my attention.
Every time a new generation arrived, I always owned every major system, but now I´ve decided to stick with two 8th gen systems, probably PS4 and Wii U, I don´t know yet...I no longer have the patience to dedicate so much time to gaming, so I´ll be gaming far less in the 8th generation than I did ever since I started gaming, but yes, I suspect I´ll end up having a renewed enjoyment partly because of that, even if it´s only temporary.
