Religion is dominant in less educated and less sophisticated societies. The more educated and advanced society becomes there is little or no need for a belief in a superstitious, corrupt backwards religious belief system. Islam is widely linked to global terrorism/jihad. Widespread corruption, religious crusades and child sex abuse scandals have plagued Christian religions and sects.

This is actually one of the great lies perpetuated by the left. Studies have shown that the more advanced and prominent members of any country are likely to be more active in their church and the poor and less educated are less involved.
Even in Islam, it is the more upwardly mobile who are more actve in their faith.
It's always religion that gets blasted for the negatives but they never receive the credit for the positive things they bring...and their positives far outway the negatives.

this mean only one they try to uphold social cohesion in system which is a useful for them, in communism this was exactly the same

actually communism would have been closer to a secular society where the governement essentialy became the religion of the people, it's the ultimate goal of the progressive movement.
I'm not a religious man myself, but I would be foolish not recognize the enormous amount of good it has brought to the world.

the postwar communism in central Europe was hugely build around post war world order i think there was hardly any ideological doctrine, yes there was Marxism-Leninism, but they were just satellites to almighty soviet Russia, their ultimate goal was uphold status quo as long as soviet Russia was at power nothing more or less.
in case of religion, this invention existed from time immemorial so certainly they brought something positive, it is after all too human invention, it has to be expected, the question is not yes or no but what kind of religion.
