Is this another XBLG complaint? lol. Are all the consoles in your question going to have a service as great as XBLG? If so, then yes, that would be fantastic.

If you're just talking about the monthly fee in this subscription package then who cares? It will either appeal to you or it won't. I don't care if all consoles adopt it, nothing would change for me and nothing changes for you either. Not seeing where the "sad" comes in.

By the way, per usual, Sega was way ahead of the competition with this.

Service fees for a game console is not in the best interest of the consumer. Regardless of what the service is: Steam, PSN, Nintendo Network, XBL - none of these should have mandatory service fees. 

Not sure how you can even argue that, but then again you've proven that you can argue absurdities.
