To be honest I don't think EA will be the last. If the next CoD game on the Wii U doesn't sell solid numbers (provided it's even coming out on Wii U), Activision will bail out as well outside of Skylanders.

The numbers these Wii U third party games are selling through is atrocious, there needs to be a huge pick up in the fall in the sales of those games (not just Nintendo's own games) otherwise publishers will move on.

The attach rate for COD on Wii U was actually the same as on 360 if you remove the massive first week sales.  The Wii U version launched late and most COD buyers will not wait.  But from the time the Wii U launched going forward, the attach rate was actually better on Wii U than other systems.  Same for AC3...actually AC3's attach rate was MUCH better on Wii U.

Wii U buyers are buying 3rd party games at a solid rate.  There just aren't enough of them.  Nintendo needs to push systems ASAP.  Having the system available on launch day of new games is also very important.  If COD: Ghosts sells 3-4X what Blops2 did, I think Activision would be happy with the trend.  Nintendo just needs a user base pushing 10 million so that a 5-10% attach rate actually means a lot of sales, as it does on PS360.
