This game has aged like fine wine. I haven't beaten it yet, but I intend to. It was revolutionary and that's why it attracts so much hate. The story was well crafted, the characters weren't cliche and the battle system was fun to manage (if you stay away from GAMBIT TO WIN). IMO Xenoblade perfected what FF12 was trying to do - but FF12 is still worth going back to.

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.
