I'm not saying he does programming on a touch screen. Ha ha ha! Although they do program games for mobile phones, iOS included. The point I was making is that they are tech savvy yet chose to have an iPhone over the other OSs. Not everyone cares about the openness of a device such as a cell phone. I chose Android because of its customization abilities. But over time, I have reverted back to a very simple layout because overly cutomizing it tends to affect the performance of the phone. And what I want most in a phone, is smoothness and speed of use. Most of the apps I download, I tend to stop using after a short while, after having tested them. I keep some of the really useful ones, like WhatsApp and the likes, but most of them I end up deleting...
So, in my case, customisation for a cell phone OS won't be a key feature I will look for when I get a new phone later this year. If I go for an iPhone 5 (which I am considering, along with the Xperia Z or Lumia 920) that doesn't make me technology ignorant, or a simpleton.

Well. If this is the only point you are able to make that makes me "biased" then I can't be that biased.
For starters, those who are tech savvy are a minority, who you know and who I know doesn't change the statistics on the matter.
The majority who are tech savvy will use Android, root it and install custom firmware to get the best experience and enjoy the superior hardware.
Apple markets itself on being simple for the average person, that's it's targeted Audience and it has made 10's of billions on it.
