im currently playing farcry 3. and i am literally doing EVERYTHING. at some point i HAD to continue the story missions because there was nothing left to do.
but on topic, if the game is good and it takes use of open world games then yes they can be amazing. but just being open world doesnt cut it for me. and i dont understand the complaints about other games not being. it depends on the game. games like uncharted would suck if they were open world
though open world games can be very awesome. Red Dead is one of my favorite games of all time. Vice city too. and far cry 3 is nothing short of amazing. Assassin's creed 2 is amazing as well.
