From the poll choices to the OP it's clear this is just a flamebait thread. It's just ridiculous to think the WiiU is disasterous when WiiU has NONE of its software sellers meanwhile, Vita has been getting the support more and more (not to mention the drastic price cut) and is STILL tanking.

Let's not promote ignorance guys just because you prefer one company to another (even if that's the only thing people do on this forum).

I constantly hear wait until it receives more Mario games.  There is a Mario game.  So saying it has none of its system sellers is bs.

And the Vita's drastic price cut?  You mean the price cut that's hit on only a single region which it's been doing decent in since?

You end your post with let's not promote ignorance, basically contradicting your own post.

2D Mario games are popular, but they don't necessarily accrue enough hype in today's market to justify buying the most expensive console with the smallest library. They're evergreen games. And he didn't just say "Mario games", he said system sellers, of which Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and the "Wii-line" also apply. So while it would be correct to clarify that it has indeed had one big name game, WiiU still has important cards to play.

Vita's price cut resulting in only decent sustained sales in what is undoubtedly its strongest market is not an encouraging sign. How much do you expect its sales to improve when it receives its price drop in the west? What games will they have to sustain decent sales? Face it - the Vita, while a good product, is also an undeniably niche product in today's market. WiiU may never be the darling of the industry but it's certainly not in the same boat as the Vita in that regard.

So no, he does not contradict himself at all because his points are perfectly valid. Both systems are struggling now, but the WiiU has not yet passed the point of no return. It'll take a lot of work to significantly turnaround WiiU but for the Vita it would take a miracle.
