I thought animal evolved to survive?why did monkeys evolved into humans but then stay monkeys also? and how did dinosaurs get wiped out in one mass event but some how also evolved in to birds? We evolved from a common ancestor. That doesn't mean that a group of chimpanzees or other modern monkies suddenly became human. Also a scientific theory is not just some idea that we think it is right, it is a well-substantiated explanation for an aspect of the natural world. Which yes means that stuff like gravity and the sky being blue is "just a theory".
