Nintendo doesn't want anything more to do with one of the most notoriously troublesome development studios around.
Offering it on Wii U and PC probably has more to do with the eShop's more permissive structure compared to other console's (current) digital stores. It's also generally a good idea for crowdfunded games to focus on a few platforms until more funding is secured by either a very successful campaign or a successfully launched product. They'll probably use Unity so it can be easily ported to other platforms later.
