What are you planning to do with history? I'd argue that's one of the worst things to study UNLESS you want to teach.

perhaps he likes it? doint it for fun? is generally interested in it? that should be the main purpose of studying.

Yes that's why i'm doing it, i just love history. I couldn't care about the debt to be honest. I don't plan on getting a credit card, overdraft, mortgage (well maybe mortgage eventually) etc. So who gives a fuck? and even though, i don't know what job i want. I would rather learn something i enjoy now. Then struggle to find a job. I don't want to leave sixth form and go straight into unemployment, i'd hate that. I know i would.

Student loans don't affect your credit score.

Just work hard and enjoy yourself. Worry about getting a job later! No point in studying something with a 100% employment rate if you were going to be miserable doing it.

I wish everyone else had common sense like you do :)
