Err... you do know they release them yeah? Highlander for example was from Ubi soft. They actually release a reatail box with some of their games.

No I didn't Know Ubisoft released Indie games..I thought indie games were games released without publisher support (publishers like Ubisoft)

edit: I see your edit, but: I Am Alive is a survival horror^[5][4][6] video game developed by Ubisoft Shanghai and published by Ubisoft. Doesn't sound indie to me. 

 

I see the confusion. I classify all small "xbox live arcade/PSN" downloadable games as indie games. not saying Ubi soft itself is a developer of indie size. But, as you can see they make smaller downloadable titles aswell.
