Here's the problem with that line of thinking. You have to assume that only a subset of PS4 owners are going to be interested in remote play, and as of right now (and for the next 6 months or so) the PS4 has sold all of zero units. So the PS4's ability to appreciably boost the Vita, which is already questionable at best, isn't going to become much of a factor at all until mid to late 2014
The PS4's saving grace for Vita will be to keep it from becoming a complete non-factor in Western markets, but its not going to "save" it.
