The stock is at 33 a share, last year it was at 32 and change.  Is it a five year high? Yes. Is it a huge difference from numbers achieved within those five years? Not really.  It is good news, but it is not as if there has been massive growth over past five years.  I did say there was nothing wrong with a steady stock. I'd suggest someone with long term conservative aims to look into MSFT as it is dependable.  Just don't expect it to rocket up into 40s or 50s over next few years.
