Like I said, its clear MS is trying to appeal to everyone. But you just think their focus is casuals and entertainment. Sony is also relying heavily on 3rd parties. Sony pays studios for exclusive advertising and content. Look at the PS4 conference, Sony spent much of the show pushing multiplat games. I suspect Sony is going to release less 1st party games in the 8th gen because so many flopped in the 7th gen. Are the videos services stopping you from playing games on your 360? Oh wait, you don't own a 360. You just like to piss and moan about them. You constantly bitch about MS making entertainment services a focus, but entertainment services were also a focus at the PS4 conference. Platforms just focusing on gaming is a thing of past, but you would know this if you saw the PS4 conference. This is exactly what Sony told me. Having an opinion is fine, but since you're sharing them we're going to tell you why your opinions are illogical and ooze of bias. Core gaming experiences is something MS focuses on. 3rd parties also help deliver that across all platforms. If you don't care about motion controls then don't pay it any attention. Even Sony spent time at the PS4 conference pushing the Move. The 360 doesn't require subscriptions. That's an option and most people don't care for online gaming anyhow. |
Years ago, when I owned a 360 and was limited to a small allowance it did limit what games I played. I played no online games at all since I preferred to buy another game instead of buying something that was free on other platforms.
Multiplatform games are very important. I know that. But so are 1st party games. Those are what makes your platform different from others. That's what Microsoft needs to expand upon. You disagree?
