I've been saying this exact thing for I don't know how long, but do the haters ever listen?
COD expanded the market to the "dudebros" who used to think gaming was a past time for nerds. Now that COD has acquired mainstream attention, these people have jumped in on the gaming bandwagon to try out what's popular. While most of them probably don't hold gaming to such a high regard but I'm sure there are some amongst them who have taken a liking to gaming and have started to branch out beyond COD. That is expanding the gaming market and people should be thankful to COD for doing so even if they don't like the franchise itself.
