I told you people this would clear The Last Of Us's visuals. Of course, it will be between the two of them for this gen's final offerings of best looking games within it, but I never expected 3EYOND to look that good.

TLOU and Beyond will be close, but I still think GoWA might take the win due to the -kind- of game it is.

Meh CGI: Let's just agree that all three are in the competition and this year is shaping out to a fucking crazy year.

I doubt God of War takes it, especially over a Naughty Dog title. Plus, you quoted me with opposition. ;)

:P But GoWA has a much more linear and static nature compared to TLOU and Beyond. I understand if we're discussing graphics from a technical angle, but history on terms of awards show that the games that usually get the most awards are the ones that fullfill the merits of what Ascension currently has. The same way Heavy Rain didnt beat GoW3, I dont see Beyond beating GoWA either to be fully honest. As for TLOU => They are doing too much with the AI and going against all the "UC IS TOO LINEAR" stuff which will ultimately make areas not as polished as a straight linear corridor. Guess time will tell.

Not for me but i wanna say one thing in GoWA - TLoU comparison.
I agree 95 %, not only with this TLoU part. What have the AI and bigger areas in common with graphics ? Isnt AI CPU, not GPU ? If they have time and ppl to polishes areas, so why not to do it ? For me TLoU already looks better than U3. Maybe better engine ? TLoU areas looks amazing for me and this discuss is apples vs oranges for me.

GoWA looks also amazing, better than GoW 3 for sure, moreover SSM put in Ascenscion more platforming, better enemy AI + faster, deeper more tactical combat system + the whole multiplayer for first time ! They can do it, so why not ND could not polished bigger areas in TLoU ? They got hired some workers and TLoU is almost 3 years in development.

They can do it which ultimately led to a SP that many would argue is the weakest of the mainline entries for GoWA's case. TLOU not only has a lot going on in the gameplay departement but it also has the longest campaign ND has done as well as a yet to be revealed multiplayer and a far more overall open game. Seriously, chill with the expectations XD

It is common sense that if you have 100 people working on 1 square => you will get better results than 100 people working on more squares. They are also likely to have some kind of budget and any research put into making that AI as dynamic as possible => cutbacks have to be made. Time will tell but like I told CGI, these latest screenshots had me worried for a bit:
