Apparantly to release a new CoD every year until it gets worn out is a strategy worth a raise.

Nintendo has a similar strategy and it has worked extremely well for them.

Strike while the iron is hot.

That is a popular misconception. Every CoD plays the same, but every Mario doesnt play the same. Just cause it has the same character doesnt mean it is the same game. For example Mario 64, Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy are all Mario 3D sequals and yet they all play differently. Activision is not even close to that.

Besides. Nintendo doesnt do yearly releases of the same titles.

First of all; I agree with you Nem. No Mario (or even Zelda) title plays exactly like the last one, BUT... I'm just gonna say; Mario Party.........

Mario party's are not anual and vary on gameplay as they all have different mini-games. :) Doesnt mean everyone finds it worth it to buy every new one though.
