To the end user. It sure does, which is all that's important in the end for a dedicated gaming machine as the regular consumer doesn't even know what a CPU, RAM or GPU even is, all they care is how awesome games look. :p

From a modding perspective though, the PS4 excites me, I would love to mod one, install Windows and call it my new HTPC /Media Center under my TV, with some emulation on top of it!

One thing I don't get on console games is why can't I customize the FPS and resolution?  I mean it's scalable on PC so if I want non-HD running at 60fps I can have it.  They know the console specs and can program a shorter range but there's no reason not to have it at all in SP (I understand MP because higher FPS could mean you react faster).
