Well. You could go dual Xeon 8/16 cores/threads, drop in a few titans. You got your gaming and server machine in one. :P
Set-up a raid array, a UPS system and get a dedicated fiber link and call it a day. :)
Might I ask what kind of game you're developing? Last time I even did any programming was well over a decade ago now, that was only objective C for a small crappy 2D game. (I'm not an artist.)
