The funny thing is that in this very thread some "were" surprised that PS3 sales got higher after it´s first years. Are you serious? PS3 started with 499$-599$ when it came down in the more mass market friendly pricepoint it sold accordingly. It really seems that some really want to spin this into some extraordinary one in a million comeback just for the sake of it. PS3 had full 3rd party support from the get-go so I really don´t understand what exactly some are trying to argue about.
Also just as a reminder X360 has been irrelevant in Japan which lead to (8-9) million-units in favour of PS3. Of course this sales are as valuable as the sales in others regions, but more information to put things in perspecive aren´t bad anyway ;).
