The interesting question would be, what did they do with it?

oh you know shareholder dividends, Xbox and kinect Marketing budget, buying skype for 8.5 billion, deals with media companies for xbox apps, and many other non core gaming related projects.

For the gaming division alone, I mean. Where did all that "success" go? To the development of Kinect games? LMAO

That's not really how profits work. Companies don't take their profits and throw them all back into a product. Most of the profits go to shareholders or to sit in the bank.

Granted when a product is successful and profitable a company is more likely to allocate a bigger budget to that product (as in the case of the 360). Usually this translates to more R&D of various types, a higher marketing budget, and putting more money into resources. For the Xbox division, this translates into R&D for various 360 and next gen products (Xbox Smartglass, Kinect, Durango, Smart Watch, the Xbox glasses, augmented reality, and many other things that we haven't even heard about), a bigger marketing budget for the 360 (which we have seen the last few years), and putting money into making new gaming studios to work on more 1st party games across all current Xbox and Windows platforms.
