I agree. And people will realize that hopefully this generation. I only useed it with my ps3 at the begining for like 10-15 games or so. The reason for that was I skipped last gen (had a xbox very briefly) and wanted to catch up. I went to gamestop and bought a bunch of supposidly good ps2 games for cheap went home played them for a month or three and never touched it again.

Ya I'm in the same boat. I wonder how many people actually care about bc in general besides the ones on gaming sites.

Yup, I even made a thread about here asking for suggestions. I remember thinking how bad some of the games that got a bunch of recommendations were. In particular Max Payne. God of War I&2 was very good but I think that was the only 2 out of the bunch I really enjoyed. I didn't pick up any of the GTA's because I didn't want to invest that much time on a game. I played the majority of each on at a friends house too.
Jak & Dexter, Onimusha 1&2, GoW 1&2, RE4, Max Payne.... and I know there were others.

Ya recommendations like that are based on nostalgia really. Some are def good, but if you compare them to great games we are used to this gen, they end up feeling inferior. Some games don't withstand the test of time.

Spyro 3 was pretty bad going back (for some reason I have a lot more fun today with 1 and 2). Mario 64 is kinda clunky and OoT and MM have messed up targeting systems but luckily they are still a blast to play as the atmosphere and magical feeling still holds up (didn't play either until last year so this is not nostalgia the world is still fantastic in both). Crash 1 and 2 are almost unplayable for me today because of no joystick support. The early Resident Evils are pretty rough too. PS2 era seems to translate a bit better normally but some games had messed up checkpoint systems (Jak 2 and Killzone 1 I've noticed make you redo A LOT if you die and I don't count that as challenge I count it as annoying and artificially extending your game length). Ratchet 1 I never liked which is ironic because it's my favorite series ever. DMC 1 was pretty rough when I played the HD version.
