The growing laws in Colorado are looking to be pretty limiting too. The distributers are supposed to grow 75% of their product. This greatly reduces the number of individuals that can legally participate in the legal marijuana trade because it limits only those with the most capital to spend to legally participate in it. It is pretty unfortunate because without these laws many people could grow and run small legal businesses and profit. Before this was happening so much so that their was a huge surplus of product that drove prices down. The current laws are not very friendly to small business so I suspect a lot of illegal trade will continue as the state tries to appease the federal government, and limit what the citizens voted for as much as the they can. Still there is definite progress as anyone can grow six plants in their home if they choose. And, the medical business still remains a lot more friendly to business which leads to continued abuse of the system. Still the laws are definite progress.
