When a person is an object of the sentence and stated as so in the first person, "me" is used. In a case where that person is the subject, then "I" is used. For example to the latter, "Are you smarter than I think I am?" Here, "I" is the subject of its fragment. You wouldn't hear someone say "Are you smarter than me think I am." OT, no. I couldn't answer the question reasonably because I don't believe there is a definitive answer. Just too many intelligences to consider. But if we're talking about IQ or academics or related topics which so many attribute to intelligence, I am just slightly above average...but reading from the posts, I think the people on this site are higher than average too, so any advantages for me become moot. |
