I doubled the RAM in my tower and saw no noticable increase in performance. :P RAM is important, but not influential like a good GPU/CPU.


No, RAM is important but it doesn't scale linearly.  Either a game needs a certain speed or amount, or it doesn't.  If you use extra (Speed or Amount), then it doesn't really change much unlike a GPU (Much like how an i7-39xxX isn't any better than an i3-3220 in 90% of the games out there).

See this is my point.  Since it will be utilized effectively, it will give a massive boost...
