I'll get getting a Samsung phone in the future anyways. Besides both of them have Sony as competition (Though in Samsung's case it's more Apple.)

I personally hope it never happens. I want my dedicated Handheld to be a dedicated Handheld.

For me I think that it has to happen if Nintendo really wants to try and tap into Korea. (And being a Korean myself this would be awesome.)

They share the same subway culture, the commute, but they all have smartphones and not handhelds. Not to mention a lot of oldern Koreans still don't buy stuff from Japanese companies so they need a domestic angle in order to really penetrate. Maybe not now, but I COULD see it happen even though there's basically no chance.

Well, Nintendo just implemented a price drop for 3DS in Korea, and announced some new games to be released there.  I think they are hoping to achieve some level of market awareness where if word of mouth of 3DS in Korea grows, then their next handheld has more potential than before.  Also, Wii U could eventually grow into a moderately-successful console there.
