You can't play them with control sticks or physical buttons, though. And that market is extremely fragmented. There are hundreds of different models of Android/ iOS devices, and no uniformity whatsoever. Companies releasing high-quality graphics-intensive games have to deal with the reality that most of the owners of those devices have ones from 2011 or 2010 or even earlier, and that they'd need to upgrade to a more powerful device to play the best of the best. Not to mention there is no uniform control pad made available either by Apple or Android device manufacturers, so the number of people who can play first-person shooters or games like that is limited to the extremely tiny userbase of people with those weird control pad/ button attachments.
