actually the SoC the Vita uses is a special chip - no other device has a tegra3 + SGX543mp4 GPU cores chip

the SOC they use in the PSVita is not a TEGRA3, ITS A ibm+toshiba+sony Quad core ARM cortex A9 the GPU you listed is correct though but you forgot the + at the end. and they never was going to go with Nvidia for the PSVita's chip. it was alway's a STI designed developed Arm Cortex A9.

the Malli was not slower the ver they needed was most likely not ready to go to production the sgx was.
