It's not because of the system it's on. It's because it's Capcom. Whether it's PS2, PSP, Wii, 360, Wii U, or 3DS, the graphics to each game look almost identical.
The Wii U and 360 have a higher resolution though, so it has a cleaner look. Not as many jaggies, but when it comes to detail, textures, etc, the first isn't much different from the last.
