The only thing that's going to do it is economic and cultural development in the Muslim World. Pretty much every society goes through a period of radicalization, at the height of economic inequality that is spawned by economic growth, while further growth tends to even things out while better education and living conditions reaching all the people means the society generally becomes more peacable and more advanced. The social mores of western europe in the 1880s would be indistinguishable from the Muslim world of the 1980s, whereas a traditional society, while it's still traditional, tends to self-stabilize.
Radical Islam is like the devils the western world and latin america conjured up in their forward leaps: Communism, Fascism, and the bomb-throwing brand of anarchism, and the solution is much the same.
