Revelation was written by John long after Jesus' death and resurrection. While it is indeed considered inspired by God, it doesn't contain the words of Christ which is what Jay was referring to.

Okay, but nothing from the New Testament was written from the time of Jesus. The first "book" is from 60 CE at best. So why are you attempting to discredit this passage when it's as accurate as the very passage in the OP.

I think you are trying to argue his first sentence, without reading the rest of what he said.
