And last I checked, the Wii U isn't the first console to receive a less than stellar port of a multiplat. Newsflash: every console in the history of mankind has received shitty ports. And the 720 and PS4? I'm willing to go out on a limb and say they will have some crappy ports and poorly constructed games as well. Telling me one game has performance woes on a console doesn't suddenly make me want to rip it out of the wall and toss it out the window. |
Did I mention anything about clock speeds? No. If you are so desperate to prove Wii U's power why not do some research about it instead or throwing in random numbers and acusations.
Ok lets say the Wii U uses a tri core PowerPC 750 based [45nm] CPU (using an enhanced broadway architecture with added cache) running at 1.2Ghz with 1GB of usable DDR3 ram @ 12GB/s + 32MB eDRAM.. now compare that to what we know about the PS4: CPU - 8 64bit Jaguar cores running at 1.6Ghz, 8GB of unified GDDR5 @ 176GB/s (with a small sizable chunk ram dedicated to OS and other). That a huge difference.. And thats not even taking into consideration more modern architecture of the APU's found in the PS4/Nextbox, or the the GPU assisted compute funtionality of the PS4. ~ That alone puts in a different ball park.
If the Wii is having issues with performance issues when put next to current gen consoles, then I hate to think what a downscaled engine built for PS4/Nextbox will look/play like on the Wii U. Argue all you like, I'm done here. By all means wait until next year and see how the Wii U situation plays out.. I think I have pretty good idea on how well the third party support will be like for the upcoming generation of consoles.
