Yeah, I minded my own business too, that is why I have a couple jobs and moved out of that area. However, that didn't stop me from being assaulted numerous times previously.
I've known people in gangs, and the mob. They've all been caught and done time at one time or another because of the laws we have. I don't see what the problem is. Sure they commit the crime, but there is no way to prevent crime, there is only a way to deter criminal behavior, and that is to make people think that they will be caught.

I have broken teeth on the top because of minding my business, but I understand that some people are just assholes and nothing will change that.
No matter though, justice was served. One is a deadbeat fuck and other asshole had a tough life and hung himself.
Know what though? I don't bother myself in that stuff. I worry about my family. I worry about what life I can provide for my daughter in future.
Can I pay the bills? Can I pay for her schooling? Can I pay for her wedding?
I don't care about guns. You know why? Because I know shit is fucked up regardless of these laws. To insure the safety of my family I will educate them on these firearms, and if necessary I will purchase one myself.
Everyone should have the right to do what is deemed necessary to feel safe.

You do have that right, hence why you can go and buy a gun with that clean record of yours and it will only take you three days to get one. What's the problem?
Sure bills are more important, but what kind of legislation do you want them to pass to help you with that???
