Oh yeah. I actually got to play it before it launched here in the US.

My friends and I drove to the nearest town that had a Diehard game store (not sure if they're even still around) just to play the import N64 display unit they had. I think it was about $10 to play it for half an hour but the guy working there was cool and let us play longer. We were absoutely floored when we first laid eyes on how fluid and flawless the 3D world in Mario 64 was compared to the Playstation and Saturn we'd been playing for months. They had Pilotwings too but we didn't waste a second playing that, lol.

Ah, good times.
