Sony already announced that every PS4 will have a large amoutn of storage, so a flash storage version is really not likely to happen. They want more people to buy digital media so i'm expecting a 320gb drive at least, probably even 500gb. |
In that case it would be more like $429,- for the base model with 320gb, maybe 500gb.
$499 for a 1tb model, max 3 months ps+ included.
I would like to see a model with SSD but the prices for those are still pretty high.
Cheapest 2.5" 120GB SATA III SSD I can find is $105, compared to $70 for a 5400 rpm 2.5" 1tb hdd.
I wouldn't mind a base model with flash so I could put an SSD drive in myself. The smaller storage space with a larger price just doesn't sit well with advertising so I don't think that Sony is going that route. Even a 7200 rpm drive is probably not going to happen.
