You know that's just pushing things out of context. Point is they lost a gigantic amount of $$ on PS3 and they sure as hell can't take a 100+ loss at launch upfront.
Lemme go look up some FY2011, but they lost $$ during their Q1-Q3 2012.

Eh you claimed they lost all of their profits, which was wrong, I don't see how it is pushing things out of context. You were even sure of what you claimed until I showed otherwise.
$100 loss/unit is plausible, the deficit will be offset by software and psn sales but they'll still post a loss. You call people expecting PS4 to cost $400 delusional, you are assuming even the base model is +$500 to manufacture based on nothing.

Oh lol I'm sorry I had 1 piece of info wrong. PS3 did in fact dissolve all profits from PS1 and PS2. The reason why the discrepancy shows on the graph is because of the PSP posting some nice profits. So yes, on the console front, PS3 wiped out PS1 and PS2 profits.
Can't believe I was dumb enough to miss that. Sry bout that.

he can't...i mean how can he say the PSP is profiting and at the same time say that the PS3 wiped out PS1/PS2 profits without showing any evidence and when sony doesnt even break down any of those numbers.
