Hugo Chavez was a fine example of strong leadership of a Left/Centre-Left government that seems to be lacking in most western nations. Left/Centre-left in Europe and the US are not associated with strong leadership, the Right/Centre-right in US and Europe historically have strong leadership. Hugo Chavez was a strong leader to the Left of politics as Margaret Thatcher was a strong leader to the Right of politics. The next Venezuelan President will be overshadowed by the legacy of Hugo Chavez.
