Also batteriez???!?
Ms gunna nickel and dime once again?

I wasn't aware that MS sold batteries.

That said - there are these thins available called rechargeable batteries. They're cheap - cost about $6 for 4 - and non proprietary - so you can use them across a wide range of devices - so you should usually always have a few charged sitting around!

And if batteries are the worst thing people can troll - MS is on to a winner.

Yes, thankfully they do.  They originally did sell a battery pack, then stopped.  During which time, you couldn't find good aftermarket batteries that lasted as long per charge as Microsoft's.  Again, thankfully they started selling them again.  My only complaint with Microsoft's is that they're only 2100 mAH batteries.  As you're probably aware, you can buy much better NiMH batteries.

I buy my batteries from ALDI!

I had a couple of play/charge kits, that lasted from 2006 til 2009 - and were constantly used (I had a lot of Pro Evo/poker nights before I had a kid!) - but when it came time to replace them - I just used the AA rechargeables I used for my KB/Mouse/Remote Controls. I figured I had enough AA's to go around, and was happy I didn't have to run out and buy some proprietary or self install stuff. I'm glad that it was my choice though - and not forced upon me.
