That is why I was asking in an earlier post how the Xperia Z compares to the VITA specs-wise.   The Xperia Z supports 1080p so I guess the graphics processor should be nice, but I really dont nothing anything about how good it is spec-wise.   I think it could be done, if Sony makes the device with certain ammount of RAM for the Android apps/OS, and other extra ammount only available for the VITA games.  Similar to what is is doing with the PS4.    They should only make the games compatible with Android, and not the whole VITA OS.    It would be similar to making PS1 and PSP games to run on Android; obviously it would require more power, but I really dont think it is impossible.

I support the VITA, but that does not mean I cant see the mistakes Sony is having with it.    People right now want a multi-purpose device, and if it manages to comes with a great phone (which is a necessity) even better.   The VITA even though has great games, is very far from being the ultimate gaming device (which is just a comodity), and also does not have much non-gaming apps, so it is not selling that good.

That is why I am saying that Sony should increase the "VITA platform" numbers, by adding VITA functionality to devices that sell a lot better, in which this case are their Smartphones.

But you see, you, me or anybody on the net, when we say this we can´t act like we discovered anything special.

Averyone and anyone that is not living under a rock knows that the future is Smartphones when it comes to handheld gaming (and some will say gaming period) , but huge problems still exist.

I still think you don´t understand why it is not possible rigth now. Smartphones now have a standard, and that standard craches directly with handheld gaming. Just look at how thin Smartphones are.  Ergonomically there is a huge barrier that the company that solves it will make Trillions just on design alone.

The problem is not one of these aspects alone, it is about making a "more powerfull Vita" smartphone, with buttons (without making it to big for a smartphone, but big enougth to play "real" games confortably), elegant like a Smartphone and bulky enoutgh to play games, running an entire OS eating resources and controlling heat problems........ it is just not possible TODAY

IMO it is just not possible to have a Vita smartphone......... I am talking real smartphone, not BrickSmartphone.
