Because being abandoned as a child, living in an orphange trying to find a greater meaning of life thus obsessing over Sir Francis Drake while taking on a new identity, is not deep enough? The third game in particular has a lot of symbolism around it and Drake gets to confront what he fears the most. That alone was more deeper than the entire GoW Saga for me.
I love Kratos and God of War. I have every single game (multiple copies) but Drake is far more interesting in my opinion. Perhaps because Kratos got his resolution after the first game and they decided to make more games while playing off of the same element.
